Your film could be screened during Eureka Springs Downtown Network’s newly created Five Minute Film Fest on June 28, 2013 in Basin Spring Park.
You can do it! Make a film! Grab your camera, phone or create one on your computer. Every age is welcome to submit a film that is no longer than 5 minutes. All genre is accepted, and there is no theme. If you are not sure how to make a film, you can join a film making sessions with ESDN and Edward Robison who will work with festival attendees to create stop action films starting at 5:00PM at Basin Spring Park on Friday, June 28. Activities will be available for all ages and films will be shown after dusk.
“We shot our film two weeks ago,” shared Teresa DeVito, ESDN board member and co-owner of De’Vito’s of Eureka Springs. “We had a great time and are now in the editing phase. I highly encourage all aspiring film makers to create a short. The entire process has been so fun!”
Films will be shown during the Five Minute Film Fest which is part of the ESDN Fun After 5! series. A red carpet experience for all cast and crew members of the submitted films will be provided through a partnership with the EurekaSpringsChannel.com. Interviews with film “celebrities” will be shown online at EurekaSpringsChannel.com.
Judges will be announced prior to the festival. Three films will be selected for top honors, as well as an audience pick.
The Rules
Submission period begins May 16, 2013. Film entry form is available online. Films must be no longer than five minutes, including credits. Films submissions must be received no later than 5:00PM, June 20, 2013. All submissions must be completed, no works in progress will be accepted. There is no theme, but all films must be made by residents of Arkansas. There is no cost to enter. All films must be family friendly. Final approval of films shown during the festival will be at the discretion of ESDN.
