Independence day has a double meaning in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The city of Eureka Springs was first founded and named on July 4, 1879. Today it is known for its rich Victorian history. Thursday, July 4th

4th of July Parade & Festivities

The Fourth of July celebration starts off Thursday morning with an old-fashioned 4th of July parade. The Parade starts at 10 a.m. and includes a best-dressed dog contest, the crowning of the Ms. Apple Pie and Mr. Firecracker and more! Everyone is invited join in the parade. Following the parade is a watermelon seed spitting contest in the parking lot between the Auditorium and the courthouse.

9:30 am Parade Line up starts at the Carnegie Library.

9:30 am Crowning of Ms Apple Pie 4th of July, Mr. Firecracker and their royal courts. Presenting of the Ms. Apple Pie Princesses and Future Mr. Fire Crackers.

10 am Parade Begins

After the parade, activities are held at the back of the parking lot between the Aud and the Courthouse and will include the following: Ribbons awarded in the Best Dressed Parade Dog contest, Watermelon seed spitting contest for kids and adults. Free watermelon!

Saturday, July 6th

Music & Fireworks!

On Saturday, stop by Basin Springs Park for our summer FREE music series. The fourth of July weekend will feature Crusade and The Big Hog Band from 5pm-7pm. After the music, the Eureka Springs City Fireworks Display will go from 8pm-9pm. Fireworks will shot off at Marble Flats and will be able to be seen from almost anywhere in town!
