The arts are blooming all month long as Eureka Springs celebrates 27th annual May Festival of the Arts! This unique, month-long festival celebrates art that makes Eureka Springs unique! This years festivities will feature dozens of exhibits, demonstrations, artist’s receptions, gallery walks(such as the annual White Street Studio Walk), free concerts, a parade and much, much more! May 3rd at 6:00 pm.

This annual favorite is colorful, quirky, energetic and sometimes surprising! The ArtRageous Parade is the traditional kick-off of the May Festival of the Arts and will be grand marshaled by Eureka Springs’ own Barbara Kennedy. This year’s parade will feature floats, art cars, walkers, dancers, musicians, jugglers and the super popular, Africa in the Ozarks drum and dance group. This is fun for the whole family!

Books in Boom

On May 18th , the 9th annual Books in Bloom event will be held at the Crescent Hotel.  This year’s speakers include Dr. Kathy Reichs, Kerry Reichs, Michael Sheldon, Terry Brooks and more!

The 24th Annual White Street Studio Walk

This event will take place Friday, May 16th, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., Eureka Springs, Arkansas’  White Street is the home of several local artists who welcome the public into homes and studios once a year to view their latest works. They will be joined by more than forty guest artists from the Eureka Springs area, displaying amazing  weaving, watercolors, jewelry, oils, pottery, stained glass and much more!


Big Pot USA

All month long, artist Jim Wallace will work on setting the record for making the world’s largest pot.  Beginning with construction of the equipment to turn and fire the pot, Jim will be be working daily from 10 to 4  for the entire month. Stop by Paradise Pottery and check out his progress.  This event is free to the public, but donations are appreciated and will go to fund the Big Pot. Be sure to stop in his gallery to view other works.

tales-south-logoTales from the South – Eureka Stories

On Saturday, May 17th, The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow presents “TALES FROM THE SOUTH – EUREKA STORIES” with host Paula Morell. This is a FREE writers workshop from 2-4pm at The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow. This two hour workshop will be taught by Paula Morell. Participants in the workshop can submit their own true stories for a live broadcast of “Tales from the South” on June 8th at the Main Stage Theater in Eureka Springs. “Tales from the South” is a public radio show where writers bring their true stories to life! It reaches all 50 states and over 55 countries!

Art as Prayer

This month-long exhibition of original works that utilize art (in many forms) as a vehicle to spirituality. This exhibit is open 10-5 daily except Wednesdays at Studio 62. Resident artists, Jody Stephenson and Ron Lutzs encourage you to stop by and be inspired!
